A cheerful and sociable family-oriented bed and breakfast.
This cheery white house is just 75 miles from Manhattan, making it convenient for weekend getaways. It boasts the distinction of being Long Island's biggest bed and breakfast, and with 36 rooms, it does offer a less claustrophobic experience than your typical B&B. Guests can walk to the new Performing Arts Center and the beach. Like the house, the guest rooms are light and cheery, done up with white wainscoting, simple furnishings and pastel quilts. There is one suite, with a living room and kitchen area. Both private and shared bathrooms are available. A playground and miniature putting green provide entertainment for the kids, while adults can make use of the bocce court. There is a grill on the property for guest use, and communal barbecues take place on Saturdays during the summer.
