Country Inn the City
Live like a very tasteful Upper West Side local.
Get ready to move into your own NYC apartment --- without the hassle of a damage deposit or having to decorate the place. An Upper West Side row house built in 1891, Country Inn the City is a peaceful, quiet and country-stylish retreat. The four apartments are incredible bargains, complete with full kitchens (outfitted with microwaves and gas stoves), four-poster reproduction beds, answering machines and free Wi-Fi. One of the rooms, Number 6, has a charming terrace with a gazebo and flowers. Rooms are stocked with breakfast items including cereal and fresh coffee. There's no sign out front announcing the property so make sure you bring the address with you. Keep in mind: children under twelve aren't allowed, and there is a two-person per apartment limit. There is also a three-night minimum. But all these rules are worth the trade for value and an ambiance you won't find at typical urban hotels.
