Mountains and lakes provide the setting for this Swiss-style home. It was built in 1916 and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. It opened as an inn in 1985. It is a great location for both executive retreats and personal holidays. The property is composed of 19 accommodations in the Mansion, 12 in the Hillmont and two in the Lakeside Suites. All of the rooms are spacious and have tubs Jacuzzi jets. Along with high-country breakfast, guests can enjoy mid-afternoon tea with coffee and cakes. Hors d'oeuvres are complimentary, and dinners are elegant. Pastimes include croquet and tennis. Golfers can play a round at the Toxaway Country Club. For those who want to cast a line, bass fishing equipment is provided.
