This home was built in 1897 and was lovingly cared for by the original owners until 1922. It has seven fireplaces with their original mantelpieces and stained glass windows. It's a leisurely stroll to the Cape Fear Riverwalk and many downtown attractions. The home features comfort aplenty, including morning coffee on the front porch and hearty Southern breakfasts. The quartet of guest rooms is bright and airy; all feature pine floors and their own bathrooms. Delicate, tasteful murals and window alcoves are highlights in the Key West room. An upstairs parlor, stocked with complimentary beverages, is available for watching movies and popping popcorn. Email and fax services are available. Pets are welcome for a one-time $20 fee. Smoking is allowed on two smoking porches.
