Preston Woodall House
A lovely two-story home in the historic district.
This 1910 Queen Anne-style home is typical of those built by successful merchants who lived in this area at the turn of the century. It is listed on the National Register of Historic Places and fits in nicely with its surroundings. Within an hour you can reach Raleigh and Fayetteville. Four lovely rooms are decorated to complement the bed and breakfast’s architecture. The Governor Aycock Bedroom is furnished with a mahogany canopy bed and elaborately carved armoire, and the William Woodall bedroom has a carved pineapple headboard. The Preston Woodall Bedroom overlooks the four-tier fountain and gardens. The Claire Augusta Bedroom is adorned with heart pine floors and a Victorian cherry bed. Data ports offer a nod to contemporary living. A full breakfast includes casseroles, waffles and fresh fruits.
