A lovely waterfront property behind a stand of old cedar trees.
This inn consists of two parts; the original snow-white portion dates back to 1768 and played host to sea captains visiting the harbor of this historical port town. While it welcomes a few business travelers, the inn mainly caters to honeymoons, anniversaries and special weekend getaways. Rooms range from small to spacious, and while some reflect the property’s history, others feel a little modern. All have private baths or showers, as well as cable TV and high-speed Internet access. Period pieces, bright red walls, wicker furnishings and lots of light highlight the décor. Cozy fireplaces warm the winter months, while fresh-cut flowers and the fragrance of cedar trees are year-round treats. The inn is located in the heart of Beaufort’s Historic District and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
