The Inn on Negley
A residential alternative for urban travelers.
The Italianate Victorian building was constructed in 1884, and its blue and white façade welcomes with its pretty front porch and wide bay windows. Inside, guests will find decorative plasterwork on the ceilings and skirtings and the original hardwood floors. The bedrooms come in all styles. Many of the suites are named after types of apples, from the ubiquitous Granny Smith to the lesser known Arkansas Black Apple. Throughout the rooms guests will find many nice touches, including fireplaces, Jacuzzi tubs and sleigh beds. All are equipped with high-speed Internet access. Breakfast is an event, with dishes such as spinach brie frittata and lemon soufflé pancakes. There is also a complimentary wine and cheese hour Friday and Saturday evenings. The inn is busy year-round and attracts a typical bed-and-breakfast crowd. It also hosts events for up to 50, such as afternoon teas, baby showers and wine tastings. The house is non-smoking. A handicap accessible room is available, if needed.
