Top 10 Business Hotels in Pittsburgh
Wyndham Grand Pittsburgh Downtown
Large-scale comfort for the business crowd and Steelers' fans.
The city's largest hotel opened in 1959 and has the uninspired architecture of that era. Fortunately, the interior doesn’t follow suit, beginning with the traditional-looking lobby filled with plenty of individual seating areas. With a location near Heinz Field, home of the Steelers, this property is very busy on weekends during the fall. It is also near numerous corporate offices, which brings in the business crowds. Some of the 712 guest rooms have a country look, with their pretty checked curtains, striped wallpaper and simple wood furnishings. The suites, on the other hand, are done in soft earth tones, and have furnishings whose style seems to be a tasteful contemporary take on French provincial décor. Luxury suites have space for entertaining. The concierge level has its own elevator; a stay in this section includes all the goodies, from breakfast to evening hors d'oeuvres. All accommodations include complimentary Wi-Fi Internet access and 37-inch flat-panel HDTVs, as well as either river and park or stadium and theater district views. The two floors of meeting space (more than 40,000 square feet) have a Grand Ballroom and Executive Conference Center. For on-site dining, the hotel offers Three Rivers Restaurant and Three Rivers Bar.
