Gaylord Opryland Resort
A landmark destination resort catering to the country music crowd.
Closed for six months by the spring 2010 Nashville floods, this resort resurfaced better than ever. It took full advantage of its closure to enhance everything from its Cascades lobby to its Magnolia Guest Rooms and Presidential Suites. It also added all new bars and restaurants, including Ravello (seasonal Southern Italian), Solaro (Mexican), The Falls (hand-crafted cocktails) and Conservatory Bar (wines from around the world). This resort is a destination unto itself---it has its own PGA golf course, Delta Flatboats and nine acres of gardens, rivers and waterfalls encased in glass atriums. And for those guests who've come to see a bit of the city, it's adjacent to the Grand Ole Opry and within walking distance to the Opry Mills outlet mall. This massive property has almost 3,000 guest rooms and suites. They are Southern in style (think traditional) and comfy, with all the expected amenities. Premium View Rooms have French doors that open onto private balconies or patios overlooking an atrium, and the largest of the five Presidential Suites---with its own formal dining room and catering kitchen---can host parties up to 100. Amenities include airport shuttle, a travel agency and Hertz car rental service.
