Etta's Place

200 W. 3rd St. (Houston St.) Fort Worth TX

Wild West heritage at a charming bed-and-breakfast.

This downtown B&B is named after Etta Place, the woman believed to have been the girlfriend of The Sundance Kid. She is said to have held two jobs: teacher by day and bordello madam at night. The property supposedly sits on the spot where Butch and Sundance spent the night from time to time. It is because of this history that each of the hotel's nine rooms is named after one of the members (or members' gals) of the Hole in the Wall Gang. This bed-and-breakfast is decorated with furnishings that recall the notorious gunslingers' days. The guest rooms and suites are comfortable and inviting, with antique chairs, desks and beds. Lace and quilts accent the period setting. Each room has a private bath and full kitchen.
