Innkeepers play Cupid at this romantic B&B.
Crafted by its current owners into a romantic getaway, this historic property may be a little over the top for some --- furnishings are fussy in that B&B way, and there are cutesy touches like poetic messages painted on the walls. But lovers of love will appreciate its unrelenting dedication to amore. Housing three bedrooms, the 1893 mansion was designed by English architect Arthur Albert Messer; it has been fully restored, along with the former carriage house and servant's quarters, which are now individual, three-room stone cottages, tellingly named Beloved and Sweetheart. Heart-shaped cookies greet you on arrival, and all accommodations feature heart-shaped Jacuzzis and lots of candles. Looking to put the spark back in your relationship? This is the place. As well, thoughtful wedding packages are offered. The property is close to downtown Fort Worth and the Historic Stockyards for those who choose to break away for a day of sightseeing.
