Messina Hof Winery & Resort
An intimate B&B hidden away on a historic wine estate.
A beautiful Tudor-style home on the outskirts of Bryan-College Station, this romantic B&B offers a whimsical alternative to home-on-the-range Texan style. Founded in 1983 with the release of its first vintage, the Messina Hof Winery actually boasts a wine heritage that dates back six generations to Messina, Sicily. Messina Hof pioneered the Texas wine industry, and its influence is evidenced in the guest center, located in a nineteenth-century estate home originally built as a convent. Filled with antiques and fresh flowers, the eleven guest rooms of the resort’s villa offer private baths and patios overlooking the 100-acre estate (42 acres are vineyards) and are decorated in Gothic, English, Mediterranean, French, American, Italian and German themes. The most lavish room is the Lancelot & Guinevere, furnished with a seventeenth-century hand-carved bed, sideboard and cupboard. This gothic suite also features a whirlpool tub, shower and stained glass window. A lakeside deck behind the winery provides great views of the vineyard, and every stay includes a winery tour, wine tasting, wine and cheese reception and European breakfast served with Champagne.
