Located in the Museum District, this intimate property combines fine art and fine dining for a unique experience. The 1923 property was once the residence of Humble Oil's founder, W.W. Fondren. Today it offers sophisticated suites and the landmark Restaurant CINQ serving modern European cuisine. Art is a running theme throughout the five one-bedroom suites. Each is named after a different French Impressionist painter and bathed in rich colors that feel as if they were lifted directly off an artist's palette. There is a private dining area in each suite, and antiques fill the rooms. This unique property also features nine villas for longer stays, an art gallery showcasing local and international artists, Le Grand Salon events pavilion done in authentic French Regence style, a library for morning coffee and afternoon tea, and a gorgeous bar. Adding to the hotel's romantic cachet: Actor Ted Danson proposed to Mary Steenburgen in one of the suites, which he filled with flowers.
