A World's Fair-era motel that continues to please.
This 102-room, former motor hotel in the University District is one of the many relics leftover from the era when the World's Fair came to town. Although it still looks like a motel from the outside, the inside tells a different story, beginning with the lobby, which feels more like a living room than simply the place to hand over your credit card. The older, traditional rooms overlook the pool and still seem a bit like old motel rooms that have been spruced up for company. The newer, deluxe rooms give the hotel a more modern feel with funky windows that come to a point, lots of natural light and sitting areas with a table and two chairs. If there ever comes a time for a national ad campaign for interior face lifts, this place should be the poster child for the procedure. The inn offers complimentary wireless Internet.
