Rainier Overland

A small country lodge near one of Washington's biggest tourist attractions.

Rainier Overland

This 12-unit lodge is five miles from the southwest entrance to Mt. Rainier National Park. Its six acres also houses cabins and has a relaxed atmosphere that attracts a wide clientele. Visitors range from the business suit set in search of a weekend retreat to ardent mountain climbers going for that next big peak. The individually decorated units may look rustic from the outside, but they contain thoroughly modern amenities, including private showers and baths. As for the furniture, it is fairly standard. The Homestead Room is a former homestead cabin that was built in the 1800s---it was transported to the property in the 1970s. It features large plank walls, wooden plank floors and an old, non-working cook stove. The property also has a restaurant.
