An authentic Austrian inn in the middle of Eastern Washington.
Leavenworth often comes as a surprise to visitors who have been touring the apple orchards and wheat fields of Eastern Washington. This charming Bavarian-style village is straight out of the European Alps, and Abendblume Pension fits right in---an authentic Austrian chalet looking out over Leavenworth and the valley below. Six of the seven rooms have fireplaces, and all are decorated with ceramic tile or marble flooring in their private bathrooms. Much of the furniture is handcrafted and produced by the owner or local craftsmen, and the circular stairway leading up to the rooms features ornate wrought-iron railings designed by a local artist. Unlike in many small inns, visitors can treat themselves to an in-room massage or a soak in the Grecian spa with room for ten. While the rooms may be deluxe, the atmosphere is by no means snobby.
