This adults-only hotel features a wealth of amenities plus a walkable location.
This ultra-cool outpost was designed by William F. Cody in 1947 and is located just a block from downtown Palm Springs. The lobby sets the mood with a painting of Frank Sinatra, and the 17 rooms are named for the desert's most famous frolickers, from Errol Flynn to Bob Hope, as well as architects who helped to shape the arid landscape. Mid-century furnishings, such as davenports and geometric-shaped lamps, give guest rooms an authentic feel. Some rooms boast kitchenettes and private patios, too. But the real attraction is poolside where guests recline on cantaloupe-colored loungers beneath oversize umbrellas. At night, this area is abuzz with conversation around the fire pits and friendly games of shuffleboard. Freebies include breakfast, happy hour, Wi-Fi and the use of beach cruisers.
