A touching journey of a gay black man's life in Miami through his youth, adolescence and adulthood.

"Moonlight" is one of 2016's hottest films, perhaps as a result of last year's #OscarsSoWhite backlash when nary a nod went to actors, directors or writers of color. The film follows the life of Chiron, a young black boy growing up in a tough neighborhood in Miami, a child who was always a bit different than the other kids. As he struggles with poverty, sexual identity and the reality of the mean streets, Chiron grows into a man who eventually finds his life balance.
