Two parts comedy, one part romance, this 1987 cult classic is a must-see adventure for any movie lover.

"Have fun storming the castle!" is just one of the many lines oft-quoted from this 1987 cult classic that is entertaining for the whole family. William Goldman brilliantly adapted his own novel for the screenplay in which the fantasy adventure is told by a man reading a book to his grandson. Goldman manages to shoehorn in an incredible number of fantastical elements — such as the Pit of Despair, the Cliffs of Insanity and Rodents of Unusual Size — and characters, including a pirate, a princess-in-distress, a giant, a six-fingered villain, an albino, a swordsman hellbent on revenge and an ancient miracle man played by a nearly-unrecognizable Billy Crystal.
