SLS, Savor Liver Slowly

April, 2015

Come celebrate the return of foie gras to California’s tables at SLS Hotel at Beverly Hills on April 14, 2015.

You will enjoy foie gras in many shapes and forms in the peaceful and intimate décor at SAAM, chef José Andrés’ tasting room hidden away from the busy and bustling Bazaar restaurant.

For the occasion, Andrés and his culinary team, led by executive chef Holly Lynn Jivin, have composed a 10-course all-foie-gras menu priced at $200, with wine pairings an additional $100 (excluding tax and service). Andrés is famous for his cotton candy foie gras, and we’re counting on the creativity of Jivin to come up with some very unusual foie gras preparations. I am also hoping that pastry chef Kriss Harvey will finish the meal with a foie gras crème brûlée. Ever had it? It’s one of the best things — provided that you are truly passionate about foie gras, of course.

But that is not all: You will have the chance to meet Michael Tenenbaum, the lawyer who fought the battle and won the case! I will be there too, as some of you might have seen that I am a foie gras fanatic and have been supporting the cause since the unconstitutional ban took effect in 2012.

Space is (very) limited. Call 310-246-5555 for reservations.
