More than 40 percent of Hong Kong is made up of nature parks, including this one designated a UNESCO Global Geopark. Eight distinct geographic areas showcase Hong Kong's oldest and youngest rocks, ranging from 400 million to 65 million years old.
Different tours are offered that take you to important sites such as High Island Reservoir, Double Haven and Ping Chau Island, once a hideout for opium and gun smugglers.
