One of the world’s great cemeteries, it’s studded with hundreds of extravagant mausoleums and monuments.
The Cementerio de Cristóbal Colón is located in the Vedado neighborhood of Havana, Cuba. It's the final resting place of an estimated two million people and the structure itself is a work of art. The cemetery contains more than 500 mausoleums, chapels, and family vaults, plus 179 pieces of 19th-century artwork. In total, there are about 10,000 pieces of art housed on the grounds with a worth estimated to be one billion dollars.
