Music Mile Vienna

A boulevard that pays homage to Vienna's renowned classical music composers.

See stars dedicated to Vienna's famous classical music composers along the Music Mile

Vienna's Music Mile is a classical music "walk of fame" of sorts. It was created to commemorate the 200th anniversary of the Theater an der Wien, which is where Beethoven premiered his "Fidelio." The walk can be done either on your own or as a guided tour, and along the route you will encounter 70 marble stars in the pavement, celebrating the work of artists like Mozart, Strauss and Mahler. Conductors, musicians and singers are also featured.

You can either purchase a map that contains information about the artists and their life or an audio guide with music samples. Both are available at the Theater an der Wien and the Vienna Ticket Pavillion.
