The Columbus Monument, built in 1888, marks the spot where Queen Isabelle and King Ferdinand welcomed Columbus back from his first trip to America. The monument made its debut in 1888 at the Universal Exhibition. It's situated at the end of La Rambla, looking out towards the sea. Take the elevator nearly 200 feet up to the top for a fine view.
