A historical marker in the City of Angels is soon to be resurrected.
After a nearly four-year closure due to operational issues, Angels Flight will be ready for takeoff again beginning Labor Day 2017. The funicular railway is an LA landmark that dates back to 1901 and is recognized as the world's shortest railway — it measures in at 298 feet.
The funicular transports passengers between Hill and Olive Streets on Bunker Hill, offering scenic views of the area. Not only is it a popular Los Angeles tourist attraction, it's also been made famous by films such as "500 Days of Summer" and "La La Land."
