If you're searching for rare finds, shop this LA flea market.
Ditch the big brand named shops for the Melrose Trading Post, or as the locals call it, the Fairfax Flea Market. It opens for business every Sunday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at Fairfax High School, rain or shine. Attracting both locals and tourists, you can find all sorts of treasures from vintage fashion to antique furniture to local art. There is also live entertainment making this spot a great place to shop and socialize.
The Melrose Trading Post is operated by the nonprofit organization Greenway Arts Alliance, which strives to give back to the community. The group gives grants to various Fairfax High School organizations to fund teacher programs, beautification projects and more. The Melrose Trading Post also provides volunteer opportunities at the flea market for students of the high school where they can gain job and life skills. It is also a strong advocate of local small businesses and entrepreneurs.
