Vincent Price Art Museum

This museum is a testament to Vincent Price's significant contribution to the arts & culture scene of East Los Angeles.

A permanent exhibit at the Vincent Price Museum on the campus of East Los Angeles College

The Vincent Price Art Museum at East Los Angeles College (ELAC) makes the institution one of the few community colleges in the U.S. to feature a major art collection on campus. Whether you're a local or tourist, this is definitely a place to check out.

Many aren't aware that the late actor Vincent Price was a significant presence on the campus of ELAC since 1951 until his passing in 1993. He spoke at graduation ceremonies and visited classrooms, interacting with students and faculty. When he realized that an art scene was notably absent in East LA, he and he wife remedied the situation by donating 90 pieces from their personal collection in 1957. That collection has since grown to include more than 9,000 objects from around the world and more than 100 exhibits have been featured at the museum.
