Thanks to its hilly terrain, San Francisco has plenty of gorgeous vistas, but none is quite as sweeping as the view from Twin Peaks.
These summits are among San Francisco's highest, making Twin Peaks an ideal perch for escaping the bustle of the city. An excellent view of the nearby Sutro Tower — San Francisco's tallest structure at 977 feet — adds to the attraction. A winding road takes you up to Christmas Tree Point where, on a clear day, you can see all the way from the Golden Gate Bridge to the East Bay and beyond. Go just before sunset to catch the city enveloped in a golden hue — and bring your camera.
