Spend some time outdoors in a beautiful setting at the Santa Barbara Botanic Garden. The institution takes seriously the research of plant life, so visitors can see and learn about the flora that's native to California. The gardens are sprawled across 78 acres with views of the Santa Ynez Mountains and the Santa Barbara Channel Islands. The garden is divided into 11 sections that include the Tea House Garden, Manzanita Section, Porter Trail and others. Witness more than 1,000 types of plants and walk the 5.5 miles of pathways. A few hours spent here really lets you take in the beauty of Santa Barbara.
