Santa Barbara Mission

This was the 10th mission in California to be established by Spanish Franciscans and it's an active parish today.

The ornate interior of the church of Santa Barbara Mission

Built in 1786, the mission is still the destination for many local and visiting church-goers. African, Asian, Native Indian, Mexican and Spanish influences are visible throughout from the architecture to the works of art displayed. Self-guided tours can be taken daily between 9:00 a.m. and 4:30 p.m.
