To enjoy recreational activity, head to Audubon Park where you'll find tennis courts, riding stables, a golf club and more.
Farther uptown at Audubon Park, which sits just across the street from Tulane and Loyola Universities, quiet paths and the Audubon Zoo await. The park's front section includes a 1.8 mile paved oval that rings lagoons, a golf course and picnic grounds. Its other half, between Magazine and the river, includes the zoo, a swimming pool, a riding stable, tennis courts, athletic fields and a riverside walkway offering a panoramic view of the Father of Waters
At the Audubon Zoo, view a wide variety of animal species, from exotic cats to Asian elephants to sea creatures. Other attractions here include a live-animal wildlife theater, a Louisiana Swamp exhibit, beautiful pieces of art and architecture, and much more. If you want to take in New Orleans on a beautiful day, the park and zoo are great places to do it.
