An aerial view of Pilgrim Monument in Provincetown

On a clear day, the climb to the top of Pilgrim Monument, the looming white tower in the center of town, is worth the sweat. The landmark was constructed between 1907 and 1910, and has a height of a little more than 252 feet, making it the tallest all-granite structure in the U.S.

After you climb the monument, head back down to the ground level to pay a visit to the museum.
