Red Rock Canyon National Conservation Area is a wonderful scenic escape from the Strip

Although it lies 17 miles west from the glitz of the Las Vegas Strip, Red Rock Canyon National Conservation Area offers plenty of fun recreational activity. That's why it attracts more than two million visitors annually. It also has the special honor of being Nevada's first National Conservation Area. 

There are hiking and biking trails, picnic areas and plenty of nature and wildlife observation points. You can also go horseback riding and view exhibits at the visitor center. Even if you just drive by, there's 13 miles of beautiful scenery to take in.
