No trip to New York City is complete without at least one shine of the Broadway spotlight.
Award-winning shows featuring A-list stars promise to mesmerize. With no more than 2,000 seats each — most with far less — the 40 official Broadway theaters offer an intimate experience. Performers in blockbusters such as the "Book of Mormon" and "Wicked" may feel close enough to touch (but please don't). Tickets aren't cheap, and the most popular shows require booking months in advance. Or line up starting at 3 p.m. daily (10 a.m. for matinees) at the TKTS booth in Times Square for discounted prices. You'll have to choose from whatever shows are available — but this being Broadway, you'll be spared any real losers.
