Wine lovers could easily spend a month exploring the wineries clustered throughout the Willamette Valley. For a varied selection of the local offerings, plan a tasting tour in the area of DundeeCarlton and Newberg. Many visitors arrange for a car service to avoid traffic and the challenges of driving after sampling too many luscious varietals, though convenient luxury bus tours have also proven popular.

Following is a list of some of the region's major vineyards and wineries.

Amity Vineyards: Founded in 1974, Amity is considered one of Oregon's pioneer wineries. It's situated atop the Eola Hills, the tasting room and picnic area command a spectacular, panoramic view of the Oregon Coast Range.

Archery Summit: At Archery Summit, take part in a Signature or Library Tasting, and enjoy a private tour of the winery.

Argyle Winery: Enjoy special events and art displays at this convivial tasting room that is open every day.

Bella Vida Vineyards: Enjoy good wine and great views at this winery that exclusively makes Pinot Noir.

Cameron Winery: Cameron Winery began as a vineyard that specialized in Pinot Noir and Chardonnay.

Domaine Serene: Growing grapes across six different estates, this winery specializes in Pinot Noir and Chardonnay.

Erath Vineyards: Founded in 1967, this family-run winery is one of Oregon's oldest. The tasting room hosts many special events and offers a wide range of wines.
Lange Estate Winery & Vineyards: The panoramic views here make this winery one of Oregon's most picturesque.

Ponzi Wine Bar: Located in the heart of Dundee, this tasting room is adjacent to the Dundee Bistro, one of the Willamette Valley's premiere restaurants.

Sokol Blosser Winery: Bring a picnic to enjoy on the deck at this bucolic spot that offers vineyard and cellars tours, tastings and great views.

Tyee Wine Cellars: This environmentally conscious winery, located on a family farm, is dedicated to conservation and sustainable agriculture. Enjoy wine tasting, picnicking and nature trails at this scenic spot.

Willamette Valley Vineyards: This impressive compound was founded in 1983 by Oregon native Jim Bernau, who sought to make a classic Pinot Noir. He succeeded magnificently at this goal, continuing on to become an influential leader in the sustainable wine movement.
