This authentically restored 1849 house is the first frame structure built in historic Albany. Some of the furnishings were brought west by covered wagon over the Oregon Trail.
Listed on the National Register of Historic Places, Monteith House gives a glimpse back to the Pioneer Era in Oregon. Visitors are welcome to tour the house, which was built by brothers Walter and Thomas Monteith. Learn about one of the first families to settle in the area and see historic artifacts on display.
