Pay homage to the city's most famous son with a tour of Elvis Presley's home.
The second-most visited house in the US (after The White House) is the home of the King of Rock 'n' Roll and this national landmark provides a state of the art exhibition of all things related to Elvis. John Stamos - aka Uncle Jesse from Full House and famed Elvis impersonator - hosts the interactive ipad tour along with commentary from Elvis' daughter, Lisa Marie.
The tour includes the living room, his parents’ bedroom, the kitchen, TV room, pool room, the famous Jungle Room, his father’s office, the newly-enhanced Trophy Building, the Racquetball Building – newly-restored to how it looked in 1977, and Meditation Garden.
In the trophy room, you'll see lots of memorabilia, including some of Presley's many costumes and his numerous gold records. Here is where you come to grips with the huge influence this one-time Mississipi-born truck driver had on global music. True fans should opt for the full tour, which includes a look at his famous pink Caddy and other cars, as well as his private jets. In the Meditation Garden, fresh floral tributes from fans are laid at his grave and those of other members of his family who are buried alongside.
The "Elvis Presley's Memphis" is a 200,000-square-foot complex within the mansion that includes several exhibits his fashion, archives and the soundstage and it also includes the the automobile museum featuring some of the King's favorite vehicles including his iconic Pink Cadillac and a Mercedes Benz limo.
