The Hobby Center for the Performing Arts
This state-of-the-art center features a diverse selection of shows.
The Hobby Center for the Performing Arts is the epicenter of entertainment in the Houston Theater District. Here you can buy tickets for musicals, plays and classical music performances.
The building is also a sight to behold. The Hobby Center exterior features 60-foot-high glass walls that overlook the city. The Grand Lobby is comprised of three stories and has a gold leaf ceiling supported by majestic steel columns. There are also two halls — Sarofim Hall and Zilkha Hall. Sarofim accommodates larger productions and seats 2,650, while Zilkha is a more intimate venue with a capacity of 500. The restaurant Artista is located on the second level of the center and is a nice dining option before a show.
