This Parisian institution serves as a benchmark for luxury and personalized service.
When Prince Al Waleed of Saudi Arabia purchased this hotel, he decided that a complete renovation was in order. The upgrade lasted two years under the auspices of the Four Seasons group. Everything was redone, except, thankfully, the landmark structure with an Art Deco façade that dates back to 1928. Bronze sculptures, antiques, chandeliers, sumptuous tapestries and paintings can be seen throughout the property. The 244 rooms and suites come with full marble bathrooms, and the most prized feature private terraces overlooking the city.
There are two staff members for each guest, so you can expect the service to be attentive. A stay in this magnificent oasis near the Champs-Élysées is enhanced by the superb menu at Le Cinq, the hotel's signature restaurant. Under the direction of chef Christian Le Squer, it serves traditional French dishes prepared with contemporary techniques. The lavish La Galerie and Le Bar adorned with mahogany are also quite commendable for meals and cocktails, and L'Orangerie offers contemporary fare in the historic courtyard of the hotel. For relaxation, the classic atmosphere of the house spa provides a nice contrast to the many modern, Zen-inspired spas around the city.
