Faena Hotel Miami Beach

3201 Collins Ave. (32nd St.) Miami Beach FL

This renovated Art Deco hotel anchors Miami's innovative Faena arts district.

One of the suites at Faena Hotel Miami Beach.

When visionary Alan Faena set his sights on Miami, he completely transformed the Mid-Beach stretch of Collins Avenue between 32nd and 36th into the Faena District, patterned after a similar project he spearheaded in Buenos Aires. This vibrant area, rooted in art and culture, includes residential condos, retail spaces and this 169-room hotel. The guest rooms and suites are gorgeous, with bold blends of blue and red; they were conceived by Faena and designed in collaboration with award-winning film director/producer Baz Luhrmann and four-time Academy Award-winning production and costume designer Catherine Martin. The property houses a 3,000-square-foot cabaret theater and the Tierra Santa Spa, the first South American-inspired facility of its kind in Miami. Chef Francis Mallmann heads up Los Fuegos, serving Argentine grilled specialties, while chef Paul Qui is in charge of Pao, with a menu of modern Asian cuisine influenced by a variety of international styles.
