Omni William Penn Hotel

530 William Penn Pl. (Oliver Ave.) Pittsburgh PA

A historic setting for state-of-the-art meetings and traditional events.

This historic, sky-scraping, 1916 building could compete with the best of them among the classic brick architecture of New York City. It was built by industrialist Henry Clay Frick and is a reflection of the city's wealth at the height of the Industrial Revolution. While it offers excellent contemporary amenities, its finest feature is that it has maintained the integrity of many of its original spaces, such as the beautiful William Penn Ballroom with its antique crystal chandeliers and gold leaf railings. The elegant lobby is Old-World European in style, from its high archways to its abundance of potted palms.

The guest rooms and suites are done in earth tones. Guests have their choice of pillows (foam, feather or down) upon request, and of course there are the chain's signature Get Fit Guest Rooms with portable treadmills, healthy snacks and Get Fit Kits.

Dining options include the Terrace Room, which serves continental cuisine with Mediterranean flair. The Palm Court is ideal for discussing the finer points of business over cocktails. The Speakeasy hearkens back to the 1920s provides a sophisticated lounge experience.

The hotel is busiest during the weekdays with convention and corporate crowds. On weekends during football season, it attracts its fair share of Steelers fans.
