Indian Wells Orange Blossom Amber

Top 10 Summer Beers

Indian Wells Brewing Company Orange Blossom Amber is not made with orange blossoms, but infused with orange peels

FRUIT/VEGETABLE BEER

Indian Wells Brewing Company Orange Blossom Amber

While the name is a bit misleading (there are no orange blossoms in this beer), the flavor is not. The essence of orange shouts out through the infusion of orange peels, as the skins of this summery fruit deliver a refreshing explosion of citrus aroma followed by a burst of potent orange backbone. The aftertaste imparts a dry, slightly bitter tartness that will remind you of the featured ingredient. This brewery utilizes natural ingredients of fresh organic hops, barley, yeast and fruit from local growers in Southern California and pure artesian spring water from its historic Indian Wells Spring, which saved the 1849 gold rush party lost in Death Valley. Many of the world's best innovations happen by chance or experimentation; crafted from its amber recipe beer, this 5.5 percent lager was invented when owner/brewer Rick Lovett was brewing a test batch of beer and after he had eaten several oranges decided to throw the peels into the boil.

Price: $7.99 (6-pack of 12 oz.)
