This seasonal from the Boston Beer Company, available from March-July, is an American wheat ale that pours a slightly hazy golden color with a foamy white head. Lemon adds its signature to the aroma, along with a slight spiciness from the wheat. Citrus is a popular flavor of the summer season and in this case citrus meets citrus with Hallertau and Mittelfrueh German Noble hops combining with lemon peel zest. An interesting addition thrown in to spice things up is grains of paradise, a spice native to West Africa that's a cross between pepper, ginger and cardamom. This ale delivers a light refreshing smoothness and the spicy and tart aftertaste is due to the lemon peel and grains of paradise it's brewed with.
