Native Philadelphian Marc Vetri is a hometown hero, bringing his primal, straightforward, strapping Italian cuisine to the people in an entirely esoteric form. Order the Degustazione menu to experience his unique vision of slow cooking. The chef proves that the sensual, soulful pleasures of the table can co-exist with grace. We're pleased to report that the 2007 opening of his well-received and more casual restaurant, Osteria, has not diminished the eponymous restaurant's reputation. We honor the chef for his dedication to authenticity.
