Little known outside of foodie circles, Hiroyuki Urasawa's understated sushi bar is all about simplicity: clean lines, polished wood and the occasional orchid. Tucked away on the second floor of the luxurious, cobblestoned Two Rodeo shopping complex, this is a pilgrimage-worthy pleasure palace for the palate that serious connoisseurs specifically save up for as an extravagant treat. The base cost of a multi-course, kaiseki-style meal here is $350, but those who can afford it wax poetic about the experience for years to come.
