Chef Thomas Henkelmann was born in the Black Forest of Germany where he learned to cook in his family’s Bräunlingen restaurant, but the years he spent working in Paris, Alsace and New York all contribute to his traditional yet innovative cuisine. His eponymous restaurant is set in an historic eighteenth-century former Greenwich mansion, now the Homestead Inn which he owns with his wife, and the posh setting is nearly as stunning as the food. Diners can indulge in Henkelmann’s extensive, handpicked wine list, spend the night, and enjoy a fresh morning croissant, the lush surrounding gardens and memories of a remarkable dinner.
