Power Nap in a Pod in Abu Dhabi
During your next layover at Abu Dhabi International Airport, one of the busiest airports in the world, chill out in one of their brand new sleep capsules designed by Uni in Finland. Abu Dhabi International Airport is now offering its transit passengers individual GoSleep pods right in the terminal, which transform from a chair into a bed, complete with sliding shade for privacy and noise reduction.
Travelers can relax or snooze for 45 Arab Emirates Dirham (circa $12) per hour in their sleek, individual capsule. The airport says these pods are slated to have secured luggage storage and to allow weary travelers a place to charge all their gadgets, plus Wi-Fi access. Ten sleeper pods are located in Terminal 3 and two in the Al Dhabi lounge in Terminal 1, with 35 on order for later in 2013.
