I think that in the world of sweets, there are two categories of people: those who love chocolate and those who don’t. Very rarely, we run into the second category, and when it happens it’s good because it leaves more for us —- you will understand that I am part of the first group.
So, if you are not one of these rare specimens, and will be in the Los Angeles area on December 28th, 2014, there is only one place you’ll want to be: the 6th Annual Indulge Los Angeles, Chocolate Festival & Pastry Show.
We are moving east to Sin City! On Friday, September 5 and Saturday, September 6, the third annual Las Vegas Wine & Food Festival will take over Red Rock Casino, Resort & Spa, offering guests the opportunity to enjoy more than forty different restaurants. There will be more than three dozen wineries and spirits companies on hand as well, along with the usual posh amenities that make this desert oasis one of GAYOT’s Top 10 Las Vegas Spa Hotels. Bring a food-loving friend, or book a room with a special someone for a weekend full of culinary adventures. After all, the Red Rock is one of GAYOT’s 2014 Top 10 Las Vegas Sexy Hotels, and even made our annual list of Top 10 Las Vegas Romantic Hotels.
For this dinner, we have joined forces with Barbara Lazaroff and Sherry Lansing, the founders of California Spirit. Since 1984, this organization has been raising funds for the American Cancer Society. Over time, fifteen million dollars have been distributed for research, education, advocacy and patient services in Los Angeles County and beyond.
For California Spirit XXIX, some of the best chefs in Southern California will be cooking and offering dishes that you will enjoy on the plaza of the Pacific Design Center, on Sunday, July 28th, starting at 4 p.m. Participating restaurants include:
The dinner is priced at $185, and will be well worth it. The evening will start at 7 p.m. with a red carpet entrance. The meal includes a Champagne toast and a special Black Grouse cocktail to finish the soirée. Don’t worry, you will not have to change seats during the four-course dinner prepared by the hotel’s executive chef Gilles Azur. The entertainment will come to you! At 9:30 p.m., singer Margo Rey will perform her songs in the dining room.
