Emirates’ A380 flight touches down in Los Angeles

Dubai holds a lot of world records — tallest building, tallest hotel, largest shopping center — so it’s no wonder its airline would hold a record of its own. Emirates recently launched the world’s longest Airbus A380 flight in operation, with daily service between Dubai and Los Angeles. The route flies over Eastern Canada, the North Pole and the Russian Federation and takes a little over sixteen hours. Emirates replaced the Boeing 777-200LR with the new aircraft in response to increasing demand, with over one million passengers between Los Angeles and Dubai so far. The 489-seat, double-decker aircraft are equipped with Wi-Fi, a digital widescreen with 1,500 channels of on-demand in-flight entertainment in each seat, gourmet chef-prepared meals and a multilingual cabin crew. Passengers can choose from fourteen First Class private suites (with access to two shower spas), 76 lie-flat beds in Business Class and 399 spacious Economy Class seats. All upper deck premium passengers can take advantage of the Onboard Lounge, offering opportunities for socializing, as well as snacking on hors d’oeuvres and delicacies by leading chefs and sipping wines chosen by sommeliers. Additionally, Emirates world-class service can be experienced even before boarding, with First and Business class perks that include complimentary chauffeur services to and from the airport and access to 35 dedicated Emirates’ lounges worldwide.   For more information, visit www.emirates.com   Related Content: Top 10 Business Class Airlines on GAYOT.com Emirates First Class Suites review on GAYOT.com Emirates’ Terminal 3 at Dubai International Airport feature on GAYOT.com Emirates’ Boeing 777-200LR aviation news on GAYOT.com Airbus A380 feature on GAYOT.com More travel news   You can click on each picture to enlarge.
