We had dinner at Eva Restaurant in Los Angeles soon after it opened in 2009. Since then, we kept running into chef/owner Mark Gold at different charity events where he donated his time and food. He kept telling us to come back to his restaurant, saying, “Things have changed, I have a new kitchen, I have done some remodeling, blah, blah, blah….”
We went back a few days ago. Indeed, things have changed for the better. So Eva Restaurant just got one more point on the GAYOT.com food rating scale, climbing from 14 out of 20 to 15 out of 20. Watch the exclusive video with Gold shot in his tiny open kitchen. And read the restaurant review to learn about its evolution. Gold, who is famous for his hat and apron, also admitted that he is spending more time at the stove. We are the beneficiaries.

Great review, couldn’t agree more. Eva just keeps getting better with inventive surprises coming from the kitchen and genuine warmth and passion from the chef owner and his wife.
